Kaiser Permanente Village Run 5K
Help create a race-day experience full of health, joy, purpose, and community.
The Kaiser Permanente Village Run 5K is more than a race. It is a community morning, a family moment, a celebration of health, and a chance for neighbors, runners, walkers, kids, Kaiser Permanente employees, city workers, schools, local businesses, and families to serve with purpose.
Come serve with us. Come run the day with purpose.
Every great race is powered by people.
The heartbeat of race day
Behind every meaningful community event is a team of people who make the day feel safe, smooth, welcoming, and unforgettable. Volunteers are the first smile people see when they arrive, the calm voice helping them find their way, the hands passing out water, and the cheers that help people finish strong.

Choose a role that fits you — or simply select “Place me where I’m needed most.”

The why behind the work
Volunteering at the Kaiser Permanente Village Run 5K is not just about helping an event run smoothly. It is about helping young runners see that their community is behind them.
Through GivJoi Inc., this event supports access and opportunity for youth runners — including practical initiatives like The Shoe Project and The Track Project.
Volunteer groups
The Kaiser Permanente Village Run 5K is a great opportunity to serve together. Serving together is one of the best ways to build connection, morale, and community pride.
A place for everyone
The Village Run welcomes runners, walkers, families, neighbors, healthcare workers, civic leaders, students, parents, coaches, and community members of every background. You can serve for one shift, with your family, with your coworkers, before you run, after you run, or simply because you care about health, kids, access, joy, and making Vacaville feel more connected.
Final invitation
You are helping create a moment someone may remember for years. A child may finish their first race. A family may move together for the first time. A runner may write their purpose on the wall. A neighbor may feel seen. A young athlete may receive access because someone showed up.
